Arriaga has been described as “the Spanish Mozart” although his work is no pastiche: his symphony in D uses both D major and minor equally and is an enjoyable but often dramatic work.
Joon Park has written a specially commissioned piece for Long Ashton Orchestra, and we are very excited to give it its world premiere in Clevedon.
Haydn’s final symphony is a bustling and even occasionally chaotic work, always popular and an exciting finish to the evening.
